We started using a system called KidCheck a few months back. (moved from Lambs List) and it's worked out much better for us. Less administration, cell phone paging (no more dead batteries in pagers!) and about the same cost for a lot more features. Definitely a win for us.

hi, I'm just starting to read this blog and thought I'd comment. I think there may be a place for twitter, I'm on there and have it linked up between my blog and facebook. It generates a lot more traffic because of this. As far as it being useful for ministry goes, sure, I think theres a place for it. I have found that whenever I post something on my blog which is a bit more in depth, my twitter following increases.

I saw this theme somewhere else yesterday and was very impressed.

I'm not ready to change themes at the moment but I did download it and have a look at what my blog would be like with it.

Hey Len,

It's very nice to know that you have published such book about online church. I am an Indonesian, I studied in Christian Communication in Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary Philippines before. Now, I am doing my Doctoral work in Institute of Creative Industry Design in National Cheng Kung University. I am interested on Internet and somehow it's related to Online Church. I am proposing a research about "Service Design" for an Online Church. I am wondering if I can know more about what you are doing and get your books. Please help me and let me know how can I contact you.

God BLess...

We use CMS on our church website
www.inglewoodchurch.org.au
Its great. but one issue with CMS is to ensure that people dont add graphics and change colours because.."I think a nice purple font would be good with this!"

Everyone thinks they know what looks good...not everyone does!

Dennis
The people being on Twitter when I'm asleep is a perennial problem. its one of the reasons that I love holidays.

As an educator, though, there are lots of us in Australia on twitter. Most of them are in the East but there are a few here in the West. Over time, I've managed to get a big enough network to make it worthwhile.

I'd like to get a big enough religious network to make that side of my life happen more online... I live in hope. All my religious contacts just don't get twitter.

And I have not been blogging much this last couple of months. As I get back into that, I suppose I will be able to network more with religious bloggers. But Blogging is so slow and you can not have the quick interaction in real time that twitter provides.

Cheers
